Alessandra Albo (Roma, Italy, 1968)
Diplomata in Violino e in Musica da camera presso il Conservatorio “S. Cecilia” di Roma e in Direzione d’orchestra al Conservatorio “G. Verdi” di Milano, svolge attività concertistica sia come violinista e violista in quartetto con flauto, quartetto d’archi, trio e duo con pianoforte, sia come direttore, dirigendo l’Orchestra da camera di Siena, l’Orchestra del conservatorio “G. Verdi” di Milano, l’Orchestra sinfonica di Pescara, l’Orchestra di Belluno e Feltre, l’Orchestra “I pomeriggi musicali” di Milano, l’Orchestra sinfonica di Sofia (Bulgaria), l’Orchestra “Guido Cantelli” di Milano, l’Orchestra da camera barocca di Bergamo, L’Orchestra d’archi di Bergamo, l’Orchestra del Tigullio, l’Orchestra da camera “Filarmonia”, l’Orchestra sinfonica di Ploiesti (Romania), la “Danubia Orchestra” di Budapest (Ungheria), l’orchestra da camera del Teatro Municipal di Santiago del Cile (Cile).
Ha avuto la fortuna di studiare con importantissimi e validi insegnanti quali Ada Gentile, Francesco Telli ,Vittorio Fellegara e Nazario Bellandi per la Composizione, che le ha dedicato, quale una tra i migliori allievi, le proprie Variazioni per organo; per la Direzione d’orchestra, con Vittorio Parisi, Massimo Pradella, Aldo Ceccato, all’Accademia Pescarese con Donato Renzetti, alla Accademia Chigiana di Siena con Gianluigi Gelmetti, risultando finalista al concorso “Premio Franco Ferrara”.
Appassionata di didattica musicale, dopo aver insegnato al Conservatorio di Milano è vincitrice dei concorsi per l’insegnamento di Teoria, Analisi e Composizione e Violino nei Licei Musicali, risultando in entrambi prima in graduatoria con punteggio 100/100; è attualmente titolare della cattedra di Teoria Analisi e Composizione presso il Liceo Musicale “Paolina Secco Suardo” di Bergamo.
Premiata il 10 gennaio 2024 al Musikverein di Vienna al concorso internazionale “Vienna new year’s concert international competition 2023” nella categoria “Direzione d’orchestra”, il 9 gennaio 2025 è stata insignita al Musikverein, alla settima edizione del medesimo concorso, del premio “Mozart”, premio speciale della giuria per l’esecuzione della sinfonia k201 di W. A. Mozart.

Graduated in Violin and Chamber Music at the “S. Cecilia” Conservatory in Rome and in Orchestra Conducting at the “G. Verdi” Conservatory in Milan, she performs concerts both as a violinist and violist in flute quartets, string quartets, trios and piano duos, and as a conductor, directing the Siena Chamber Orchestra, the Orchestra of the “G. Verdi” in Milan, the Pescara Symphony Orchestra, the Belluno and Feltre Orchestra, the “I pomeriggi musicali” Orchestra in Milan, the Sofia Symphony Orchestra (Bulgaria), the “Guido Cantelli” Orchestra in Milan, the Bergamo Baroque Chamber Orchestra, the Bergamo String Orchestra, the Tigullio Orchestra, the “Filarmonia” Chamber Orchestra, the Ploiesti Symphony Orchestra (Romania), the “Danubia Orchestra” in Budapest (Hungary), the Chamber Orchestra of the Teatro Municipal in Santiago de Chile (Chile).
She has had the fortune of studying with very important and valid teachers such as Ada Gentile, Francesco Telli, Vittorio Fellegara and Nazario Bellandi for Composition, who dedicated to her, as one of the best students, his Variations for Organ; for Orchestra Conducting, with Vittorio Parisi, Massimo Pradella, Aldo Ceccato, at the Accademia Pescarese with Donato Renzetti, at the Accademia Chigiana in Siena with Gianluigi Gelmetti, being a finalist in the “Premio Franco Ferrara” competition.
Passionate about music teaching, after having taught at the Milan Conservatory, she won the competitions for teaching Theory, Analysis and Composition and Violin in Music High Schools, being first in the ranking in both with a score of 100/100; she is currently the chair holder of Theory Analysis and Composition at the “Paolina Secco Suardo” Music High School in Bergamo.
Awarded on 10 January 2024 at the Musikverein in Vienna at the international competition “Vienna new year’s concert international competition 2023” in the category “Orchestra Conducting”, on 9 January 2025 she was awarded the “Mozart” prize at the Musikverein, at the seventh edition of the same competition, a special jury prize for the performance of the symphony k201 by W. A. Mozart.

“Best Classical Musicians Awards” - Platinum prize;
"European Classical Music Awards” - Platinum prize with special prize "as the player who achieved the highest score to represent Italy in the 2023 European summer music competition”;
"Universal star music competition” - Platinum prize with special prize "for winning extraordinary technique special star; this award is given to an artist who has demonstrated a mastery of their instrument or voice, showcasing a level of technical skill that is above and beyond the norm”.
